A Woodland Way

Branches stretch kindly o’er the broadened way

Gentle woodland giants watch the leaf-strewn trail

Brightly colored fowl fly art between the burdened boughs

Black-winged scholars call within the stillness

Shadows come and go, a ceaseless march, without remorse

Pillows float beyond the green-leafed canopy

Echoes lose themselves within the lovely maze

Man is stopped in humble adoration
